"SAIC is excited to expand our Cloud Migration Edge offering with Dell EMC’s Adaptivity platform"

Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will now offer Dell EMC’s Adaptivity platform as part of its cloud migration services for its customers.

Dell EMC’s Adaptivity is a business intelligence software that analyzes an application portfolio and recommends a technology path forward. As part of SAIC’s solution, the company will use Adaptivity to determine a suitable cloud platform based on customer’s needs and metrics. By automating analysis, Adaptivity accelerates technology investment decisions, resulting in faster realization of efficiencies, repeatable processes, and reduced risk.

Adaptivity joins SAIC’s suite of product offerings for its Cloud Migration Edge™ solution, a multi-tiered methodology that migrates and transforms customers’ current IT applications and systems to a cloud environment securely and effectively.

“SAIC is excited to expand our Cloud Migration Edge offering with Dell EMC’s Adaptivity platform,” said Coby Holloway, SAIC vice president of Business Transformation and Cloud Computing.  “This new capability will allow us to help our customers realize the benefits of cloud computing quickly, and will provide SAIC’s migration team with early insight into the alignment of customer mission outcomes and cloud solutions.”

During the assess and strategize, and design phases, using the Cloud Migration Edge methodology, SAIC engineers will primarily use Adaptivity in order to architect a cloud solution that specifically fits each customer’s goals. During these phases, SAIC tailors a solution that includes the cloud platform, security, management, monitoring, and final design to meet each customer's unique requirements.

SAIC uses a comprehensive systems engineering approach to create both a final cloud-enabled environment as well as a detailed migration strategy that includes transformation of the customer’s IT processes and organization to a cloud service delivery model.

As a cloud technology integrator, SAIC engineers use the best solutions from commercial companies across the cloud computing industry to create a customized offering.

“Our partnership with SAIC, centered on Dell EMC’s Adaptivity platform and SAIC’s Cloud Migration Edge, is designed to help our customers realize the benefits of cloud using a predictable, data driven and automated approach,” said Steve Harris, vice president & general manager of Dell EMC Federal. “To truly achieve the efficiencies associated with IT and digital transformation, we believe our federal customers should take an application-centric approach and form a business partnership with companies that can provide innovation to accelerate time to value.”
