SAIC Awarded Master Services Agreement by Chevron U.S.A., Inc.


Company to Provide Environmental Engineering Consulting ServicesSAN DIEGO and McLEAN, Va., May 5, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a prime, follow-on contract by Chevron U.S.A., Inc. Through this multiple-award master services agreement, SAIC will provide environmental engineering, management and consulting services to Chevron within the U.S. and internationally, as required. Over the next five years, SAIC expects Chevron to award $150 million in new assignments under this master services agreement, with the opportunity to grow beyond this amount.

SAIC's focus under the new master services agreement is to provide technical engineering and environmental support at active and inactive Chevron sites worldwide. Primary services will include environmental remediation, engineering design, modeling, risk assessment, and groundwater and compliance monitoring, SAIC will also support management of inactive pipelines, engineering design, construction management and oversight, and site assessment and closure. In addition, SAIC will have the potential to expand services to Chevron into facility upgrades and information system support.
