SAIC Wins Key Joint Training Transformation Contract


 

(ORLANDO) Jul 19, 2004 – A team led by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced today a contract award from the General Service Administration's ANSWER Program Office to provide distance learning support for the Joint Knowledge Development and Delivery Capability (JKDDC), a key Training Transformation (T2) initiative for the U.S. Department of Defense, and to deliver it to members of the armed forces on a global, distributed basis. SAIC will manage the JKDDC contract from its offices in McLean, Va.

Members of the SAIC team include Camber Corporation of Huntsville, Ala.; Cornerstone Industry of Virginia Beach, Va.; Professional Solutions LLC of Alexandria, Va.; ThoughtLink of Vienna, Va.; EDO Corporation of Albany N.Y.; and Dynamics Research Corporation of Waltham, Mass.

Under the terms of the contract, SAIC and its teammates will conduct the research, development, production, integration, testing and delivery of distance learning-based education and training content for U.S. armed forces around the world. This program will promote joint training initiatives and is a key component of the Joint National Training Capability.
