Orange County, California Awards SAIC $77 Million IT Services Contract

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The County of Orange, California awarded Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) a prime contract to provide information technology (IT) managed services and solutions to agencies and departments within the county. The firm-fixed-price contract has a three-year base period of performance valued at approximately $51 million, two one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $77 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be primarily performed in Santa Ana, California.

The SOC will provide cyber security monitoring, incident assessment and analysis, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, threat intelligence, and related critical cyber services to protect the County’s critical systems and infrastructure,” said Bob Genter, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Federal Civilian Customer Group. “Our culture of innovation enables us to bring technologies that produce better outcomes that are reliable, secure, and cost effective. Under the contract, SAIC will deliver services to support the county’s IT and technology environments in the following areas:

  • Converged network (WAN and LAN)
  • Voice communications
  • Security operations center
  • Overall IT service management
