McLean, Va.
"We are honored to receive this recognition for our consistently strong performance and dedication to delivering exceptional products and services to our warfighters no matter where they are"

McLean, Va., Oct. 31, 2016 -- Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) was recently recognized by the Defense Logistics Agency as a top performing industry partner for fiscal year 2015 as part of the Department of Defense’s Superior Supplier Incentive Program.

Although SAIC is one of 24,000 suppliers to DLA, just 150 parts and commodity suppliers were considered for this program. Of those, SAIC was one of 42 companies selected as a superior supplier based on its past three years of Contractor Performance Assessment Reports System (CPARS) ratings, with the greatest emphasis placed on recent contract performance. Based on those results, SAIC achieved the highest ranking – a gold-level supplier.

"We are honored to receive this recognition for our consistently strong performance and dedication to delivering exceptional products and services to our warfighters no matter where they are,” said Linda Messano, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies and Commands Customer Group. “We are proud of our employees’ commitment to serving our customers’   missions and recognize their hard work in achieving this award.”

SAIC was recognized for its performance on current DLA supply chain and logistics programs, including the Tailored Logistics Services for Maintenance Repair and Operations, Tires Successor Initiative, Anniston Army Depot and Red River Army Depot Industrial Product-Support Vendor, the Navy’s Fleet Readiness Centers Industrial Prime Vendor and the DLA supply chain support for chemicals, packaged petroleums, oils and lubricants.

The Superior Supplier Incentive Program is an extension of DoD’s Better Buying Power initiative and is designed to incentivize contractor performance by identifying suppliers with the highest rankings in areas such as performance, quality, and business relations.
