SAIC Sponsors 9th Annual Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition

December 08, 2021

Reston, Va., December 8, 2021 – Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) today announced that SAIC will be a competitor and the Title Sponsor for the Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition (PCDC) scheduled to take place April 9-11, 2022 at Charleston Southern University in North Charleston, S.C.

PCDC is an event for the promotion of cyber security education and awareness. Competition energizes local high school and college students and today’s professionals to develop invigorating and focused curriculum for the technical needs of today’s fast-paced cyber security environment. Six person teams will work together to simulate a company defending an artificial digital currency and exchange against red team attacks while maintaining crucial business services and responding to customer and administrative demands.

The event is co-hosted by the Navy Information Warfare Center – Atlantic and the AFCEA Low Country Chapter, and will be an in-person event for high school, college and industry-government competitors.

As a Title Sponsor, SAIC is supporting the education of our future cyber security professionals and leaders. SAIC will also be hosting a virtual job fair for those competing at PCDC on April 20, 2022.
